Special Services and Benefits through the UMBC Alumni Association
As an employee of UMBC, you are eligible to take advantage of benefits, services and discounts offered by companies that have partnered with the UMBC Alumni Association.
Cell Phone Service and Equipment Discounts
As a State employee, UMBC employees may receive discounts on cell phone plans and/or equipment from their provider. Please contact your cell phone provider for details. A copy of your paycheck stub may be required, as well as your UMBC email address.
State Employees Credit Union (SECU)
As a State employee, UMBC employees can join SECU to open a Checking/Savings account and access low-interest rates for home and car loans. A copy of your most recent paycheck stub may be required. To open an account with SECU, please visit the SECU website or visit a local branch.
Dining on Campus
Faculty & Staff discounted meal plans are available for on-campus dining options. To sign up, please visit the Dine on Campus website.
Care.com
Care.com offers subsidized back-up care and a LifeMart Discount Program with savings on thousands of nationwide brand name products and services. To sign up visit umbc.care.com. The LifeMart discounts are at the bottom of the Care.com home page when you click “view all offers”.
UMBC Training Center – Tuition Discount
UMBC Training Centers may provide a discount on tuition for UMBC regular full-time staff and faculty. For more information, visit the UMBC Training Center website.
