Accessing SPS Workday

The SPS Workday system uses a unique identifier created by the State of Maryland called the SPS ID.  You can find your SPS ID on the bottom of your timesheet, in your POSC account, and in your myUMBC profile.

New Hires

New employees will get an email alert to their UMBC email within 2-3 weeks of their hire date or the date their were entered into our payroll system.  The email alert will come from and will contain:

Email 1:  The new employee’s SPS ID, also known as their W#

Email 2:  An initial temporary password (expires in 24 hours). If the password has expired, the employee can use the “forgot password” link to set up their password for the first time.
