Open Enrollment for State health benefits will begin on Tuesday, October 15 and will end on November 8, 2024 at 5:00pm.
During this time, employees can enroll, cancel or make changes to their health benefits. All changes will be effective on January 1, 2025.
Employees will receive alerts regarding Open Enrollment from the State of Maryland via the SPS Workday system.
All changes must be made in the employee’s Open Enrollment event in their online SPS Workday account.
State Open Enrollment Fairs (virtual and in-person)
The HRSTM Benefits & Wellness team will host an Open Enrollment Information Session (virtual) on Wednesday, Oct 16th at 12:00pm. Please use this Webex link to join the session. The session will be recorded and posted to this website by 10/22/2024.
Who needs to take action during Open Enrollment?
- Employees making plan or coverage level changes
- Employees who would like an FSA for 2025 (flexible spending accounts do not roll over automatically)
- Employees who are removing a dependent
- Employees who are adding a dependent (documentation is required)
Please note: employees who are not making changes or enrolling in an FSA for the 2025 calendar year do not need to take action in their Open Enrollment event.
