NRA Renewal Business Process
Step 1: NRA Renewal Process Docusign form (IF FILING A TAX TREATY, READ BLOW BEFORE STARTING THE PROCESS)
Step 2: The following forms MUST BE MAILED TO UMBC FOR ALL NON-RESIDENT ALIENS:
- 2021 W-4 – (ONLY USE FOR 2021 RENEWALS and 2021 NEW HIRES)
- 2021 MW507
Mail all forms to:

- Affidavit of Compliance – Must be completed if you are waiting for a social security number (SSN)
Non-Resident Alien Scholarships – Athletic & Financial Aid ONLY
Required for NRA Scholarships that are above tuition, fees, books and supplies.

- 2020 State MW507 (For Maryland Withholding AND Address Changes)
- W-8 BEN (Part 2 must be complete in order to claim a tax treaty, sample form)
